DANCER. Ava’s dance artistry embodies her value for living with fluidity. Her movement aesthetic blends energy, balance and momentum.  Ava is in continuous motion as she is in continuous growth.

COLLABORATOR. Ava performs with dance artists who value organic movement. Ava danced professionally with contemporary dance companies Estado Flotante, Sydnie L. Mosley Dances and Not for reTAIL. She was an apprentice with the classic Lori Belilove and Isadora Duncan Dance Company. Ava’s choreography is in dialogue with the works of dancers, musicians and authors. She choreographed and produced “A Night with the Funks”, a soulful evening of live music and dance. She created "This Flesh is Wonderful", a physical response to  the literary text “The Beast” by Jo Napoli. Ava studied at the Jose Limon Professional Studies Program under Carla Maxwell as well as at the Bates Dance Festival under Daniel Charon and Alex Springer.  As a student at the Claremont Colleges, she was mentored by Laurie Cameron, John Pennington, Meg Jolley and Gail Abrams. Ava was awarded the Virginia Princehouse Allen Prize for Outstanding Performance in Dance at the Claremont Colleges.
